Domain questions, answered.
How long does a new domain take to activate?
.co.za domains usually activate within minutes once ZA Registry approves the registration. Generic TLDs (.com, .net, .org) typically activate within 5–30 minutes globally.
Can I keep my existing registrar's DNS while using MComm as my registrar?
Yes. You can keep nameservers pointed at your existing provider and still manage renewals and contact data through MComm. Just point your nameservers back at us whenever you're ready.
What happens if my domain expires?
Expired domains enter a 30-day redemption grace period where you can renew at the standard price. After that, the domain enters a registry-level pending-delete state and may become available to other buyers.
Do you offer domain privacy / WHOIS guard?
Yes — free WHOIS privacy is included on every supported TLD that allows it. Your personal contact details are replaced with a proxy record.
Can I get a refund on a domain I registered by mistake?
Domains can be deleted and refunded within 24 hours of registration if they were not actively used (no DNS pointing, no mail). After that period, TLD registry rules generally prevent refunds.
